Redneck Summer: Cool of the Pool

So, yesterday was a real scorcher. I wanted to keep us cool, but I don't have a ton of outdoor stuff yet. I ended up rigging this together within a few minutes, and it seemed to work, but I'd like to add some aesthetics to the functionality. I will keep posting on the growth of my homemade waterpark throughout the summer. :)

 I found a way to keep the baby pool shaded.

 

 

It's a bungee cord holding the umbrella to the chair.

I have my own spot too. It involves a hose set to mist and a plastic table for "mommy's sippy cup"
